Our two-week virtual program takes an in-depth look at choosing a start-up, prototype testing, market research, social innovation, global business, and the operations of running your own business. You will have opportunities to virtually hear from and interact with experienced entrepreneurs across different industries to learn about what it takes to become successful in any career path.
Gain a deeper understanding of the underlying context and theory of software development
practices. This course is designed for people who are new to software engineering. During our
two-week long program, students will be able to:
1.) Build high-quality and secure software using SDLC methodologies such as agile, lean,
and traditional/waterfall.
2.) Analyze a software development team's SDLC methodology and make
recommendations for improvements.
3.) Compare and contrast software development methodologies with respect to
environmental, organizational, and product constraints.
Explore the details of the vast field of health, including the complex anatomy of the human body
and the work of a wide variety of health professionals. In this two week course, you’ll learn
about human anatomy by competing in a model building competition against other students
(The best models will win prizes!). Learn about the work of different medical and health
professionals, including physicians, doctors, and nurses through their presentations or by
speaking with them.
Working in small groups, you will build your teamwork and leadership skills while also having fun
competing against other teams in trivia games like jeopardy. Test your own knowledge by
examining and trying to solve interesting case studies. Focused on giving you a comprehensive
experience of the field of health, our program will provide you with hands-on activities, like
learning how to suture, to simulate the feeling of being a healthcare professional.
With over 400 million speakers, Spanish is the second most spoken language
in the world. Learning a new language can be challenging, but its benefits
last for life. We will guide you through the core elements of the Spanish
language, including pronunciation, grammar, oral and written Spanish. You’ll
be able to build your confidence in the language through live online instruction
from the comfort of your own home.
During this fun, brief, and educational 2-week course, you will be able to:
- Engage with other students to put essential vocabulary into practice.
- Communicate and understand basic Spanish phrases.
- Participate in trivia games, cultural crafts, real-life scenario practices, and other related activities.
